PURDY....Sophisticated Pop/Jazz With A Nod to the Jazz Greats of the 50's and 60's

Purdy has been toted as "sophisticated pop" with a darker nod to many of the jazz-influenced greats from the 1950s and 60s such as Nancy Sinatra and Nina Simone.

Purdy grew up in Ian Fleming’s farmland, Mick Jagger asked her for one of her paintings and is Jack Vettrianos' muse and features in several of his paintings! She has also opened for Lana Del Ray and performed at Wembley. Here she is on London Live

Supported by Radio 6, Record of the Day, Blues and Soul, Music Week, GigWise, I Luv Live & BBC London, PURDY is kicking up the dust with her diamond debut album and thrilling international audiences with her distinctive, sultry vocals and her chillingly brilliant singles.

PURDY’s music has impressed some major audiences including 90,000 people at Wembley, F1 events and The London Lifestyle Awards. She has sung for the likes of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mick Jagger and was recently a guest singer on Richard Branson's Necker Island where she supported none other than Lana Del Rey!

Purdy writes songs with all the swagger and poetic charm of a new age femme fatale with hints of - Nina Simone, Nancy Sinatra, Peggy Lee and Henry Mancini. The self-confessed subscriber of love will be releasing her killer debut album ‘Diamond in the Dust’ in May 2015 and is produced by Grammy award winning producer Andy Wright, famed for his records with Imelda May & Simply Red. This will Include Purdy’s co-writes with Emily Phillips (Rizzle Kicks writer) Tim Baxter, Damian Montague, Charlie Perry and Jamiroquai’s pianist and producer Matt Johnson.
